Kabaka Pyramid- ‘Reggae Music’- Video

It’s time to celebrate the culture in all of it’s forms as Kabaka Pyramid drops the video for ‘Reggae Music’, prepare to see a lot of instantly recognisable faces in this video.

Watching Kabaka’s video for ‘Reggae Music’ is a full immersive experience of Reggae culture. The video opens with Jah Rocks Sound (fresh out of Japan) taking over from Stonelove and dropping an exclusive dub from Kabaka Pyramid, with Jah Rocks about to kill all the soundbwoys with the exclusive ‘Reggae Music’ dub. It’s at this point that the cameos begin with an obvious cameo from Stonelove as they appear to be leading the soundsystem, with an eager Damian Marley in the ground, lighter in hand and fully endorsing the dubplate.

The video then flashes back to the previous week and follows Jah Rocks’ journey through Jamaica with Kabaka Pyramid and the creation of the ‘Reggae Music’ dub.

Kabaka takes Jah Rocks to many of the legendary Reggae landmarks in Kingston including Trenchtown, before linking up with the icon King Jammy to cut the dubplate for ‘Reggae Music’.

Jah Rocks is definitely really getting the royal dubplate treatment in this video. With Major Lazer’s Walshy Fire even making a brief cameo in the video.

After the dubplate is created it’s now time to step up the soundsystem, with the video now focusing on the hefty task of getting the soundsystem ready for Stonelove and Jah Rocks.

This video is PHENOMENAL, Kabaka Pyramid has created something that perfectly displays reggae culture, that goes deep into the roots of the culture and shows viewers the culture significance of this music. This is groundbreaking work from Kabaka Pyramid.
